Don’t be blinded by high price

>> Friday, February 26, 2010

In this present economic situation where everything you buy is in sky-high price… is it still possible to get quality eyeglasses for a low cost? Well, guess what? The answer is yes.

Yes, it is possible with Zenni Optical. So how and where did I find out about these cheap yet good quality eyeglasses? Where else but online. I was I was one day desperately looking and surfing for eye wear when I came across an article in Examiner.com about cheap eyeglasses.

In this modern day… almost everything is purchased online. Why not? It is very convenient and practical. And in that case, eyewear is not an exception. Eyeglasses from Zenni Optical are purchased online. This is one of the things that I like about it. I don’t need to deal with parking and high gas prices because I don’t need to drive down to the store to get one. If you know your eye prescription… you can immediately order online for as low as $8 a pair plus $4.95 shipping fee [no matter how many pairs you order] and wait just a few weeks to get your order by mail.

How convenient is that? And how convenient is it if you can clearly see without breaking your budget?

Virtual Friends Unite for a Cause

>> Sunday, February 21, 2010

So I talked about the special people I met online in my last post. I talked about my new BFFs [Blogger Friends Forever] whom I met through blogging. But I have not talked about all of them just yet. There are still a lot of bloggers out there whom I met and had a great impact in my life as a blogger that I have not mentioned there so... I owe you guys. I will surely write about you too next time because I want to return the favor that you've unselfishly extended to me during my trying times.

But for now... I want to explain the following paragraph...

When I was down, my virtual friends or shall I call them my new BFFs [Blogger Friends Forever] give an assurance that It's a Beautiful Life after all. They give me inspiration to see... The Joys of Simple Life. My BFFs taught me how to appreciate God's given talents and learn to Craft them effectively and efficiently to lift each other's spirit especially in times of needs. They are Simply CHERrific down-to-earth people who travels far and near in flip-flops and backpacks. They are my new BFFs who can write Letters in November and Blogging out Loud some stirring thoughts and inspiring Poetic Murmurings to awaken the lonely soul. And even if these friends of mine are scattered all over the world... they are just a click away when you need them the most.

... that I wrote on the previous post. Those highlighted links are actually the blogs of my BFFs who united themselves to take blogging to the next level. Those are the blogs of some real bloggers friends who united themselves and became authors of one special blog called The Salitype Society. So why am I writing about it? Because I am officially joining TSS. I finally got an invite from Betchai... author of The Joys of Simple Life and I accepted it.

I am now officially a PROUD MEMBER of The Salitype Society and I will be blogging for it... in my free time or good mood [wink*]... at my own convenience and delight... to hopefully inspire [which I believe is one of the goals of TSS] by contributing to the camaraderie of the group through blogging... and most of all... TO HELP A CHARITY - the most important goal of TSS.

To all the members of The Salitype Society... thank you very much for your faith in me.

Real Friends from Virtual World

It has been almost 3 years now since I made that drastic decision in life that totally changed my perspective in life. But despite what I went through, I am just so happy with how things are turning out after so many ice storms and hurricanes that I survived in this new home I chose to live.

It has been almost 3 year now since I left my friends whom I grew up with and made new ones. Though my loyalty to my old friends remains strong, I learned to trust my new found ones. My new found friends however, are friends I found from the most unconventional way. These friends I am referring to are virtual friends because I met them online. But these virtual friends that I am referring to are real people who inspired me for real. And these real friends I met online are now my lifeline in this virtual world I call Cyberlandia.

Well, it may sound out of this world but this is the reality now. My life has evolved in the world wide web for almost 3 years now and those people I met there are people who give me motivation to live life bravely and face every challenges courageously. And I am just so lucky to know some special people with whom I share a common bond that tie us together in one common interest... blogging.

Friendship indeed transcend boundaries and principles and definitions. Friendship is indeed not confine in personal expectations or aspirations. Friendship nevertheless... is always made available to people who need and deserve it.

Change of Career

>> Saturday, February 20, 2010

I am currently taking a Medical Terminology class which I was thinking of taking it to the next level – Medical Coding and Billing class. It’s a change of career move. But I am not yet that sure.

Fifteen years ago, I went through the same process… a change of career. I was already climbing the corporate ladder when all of a sudden I thought maybe a change of career was the best idea. And so I quit my job and went back to school. In no time I became a teacher. It was the best job I ever had. I played the role of a teacher for 11 long years. Then I migrated and resigned.

Now I am working with kids but not as a classroom teacher but a Counselor for the Kid’s Out Enrichment Program and I am thinking of a new career because of some reasons… Health Mental Health.

Well, at first I thought I could continue my teaching career here but upon working with kids… I change of career is the best idea. I don’t think that I can handle the kids well here. The culture differences post a major issue and I don’t want take a chance. And so for now… I am eyeing a career on Health Care.

Tasty Idea

I am so proud to say that I learned everything about the internet, blogging, website, and everything synonymous to cyberspace through personal discovery, research and of course, generous help from openhanded people who patiently taught me some basic knowledge I needed to get a blog going. And the result... 6 active websites.

The first few months was hard but eventually, I went into deeper searches and when I got the hang of it, I learned more about simple web designing, hosting, and SEO. Well, as a blogger I am contented with just blogging but I also learned that if I want to use my blog for monetizing, or business purposes, TastyPlacement.com introduced me to Austin Search Engine Optimization which provides concrete answers to all my questions on website and all its perks.

I am so ready for summer!

>> Saturday, February 6, 2010

I am so ready for summer! Geez… when can this winter end? I wish it will be soon so I can forget about freezing to death. I am so tired of the cold weather. I am so sick of this brutally cold weather condition. And I am so worn-out to no end driving in snowy, slippery, slushy and treacherous roads. I wish it will be summer soon so I can go out without caring enough to bundle up.

I am so ready for summer! Geez… when can I go camping again? I wish it will be summer already so I can get up in the morning without worrying if there is another snow storm. I am so ready for summer now and can’t wait to plan where to go camping. I am so excited to go camping this year because we might go out-of-state. And I am so thrilled that this year, we will try rv rentals when we go camping outside of Maine.

I am so ready for summer! Geez… when can I have a peace of mind? I wish it will be over now so I don’t need to worry about snow storm. I wish it will be spring now so that the snow bank will melt and the flowers will bloom. And I wish it will over soon so I can already wear flip-flops and tank-tops.

Let's get accessorized

>> Friday, February 5, 2010

Well, let me educate you in the understanding of human nature most specifically speaking… the female species. Naks! And let me be more specific about the female species and talk about one specific aspect of them – the fashion sense [or senses because there is more to it, I believe].

NOTE: Let me warn you first before I proceed. This is only my personal opinion and does not intend to influence others so ignore me if you must.

There are three factors that a woman needs to know to justify their wrong doings.

1. NECESSITY. Accessories like bags, shoes, and jewelries [just to name a few] are essential to a woman’s total personality because they make them beautiful. No argument, period!

2. SAFETY. Women need to accessories to be able to live more comfortably and safely because accessories can help avert evil. For instance, your killer stiletto can literally kill someone who is trying to steal your 3 karats diamond earrings.

And 3. INVESTMENT. In times of depression, be it the economic aspect where you are laid off from work or the emotional aspect where you feel down and needs some picking up, accessories can save the day. You can sell your most priced accessories and earned cash or you can brag about them to make other women jealous and that… is a great "pick-me-up".

Well, don’t alienate us women for being so materialistic. In this shallow worldly life of commercialism there is one thing to keep in mind… life is empty without shopping. hahahaha

So Happy Shopping to all!
