Ruthilicious at 49

It's hard to believe that I turned 49 yesterday. Or I was just dreaming?
Forty Nine years and it feels like nothing has changed. I am still the same crazy person I used to be. No more, no less. Errr.... maybe a little bit more. LOL

It's Girls Scout Cookie Time!

I don't know about you but I love my Girl Scout cookies.

And when I get them... they don't stand a chance. They get eaten right away and without remorse. LOL

Baby Brother in the House!

My baby brother came to visit me here in Maine. It was a very short visit but it was one of the most memorable times I had with him.

For a span of 10 days we were able to bond and enjoy each others' company without interruption. It was a short visit but not short in happy memories that we created together for just 10 days.

Here are some of the photos we had together.

A bag-full of sweet memories!

My brother's short visit in Maine is a huge deal. First of all because the last time I spent time with him was in 2012 when I had a short vacation in the Philippines. Now, it's payback time!
But a visit is not a visit without a catch. Yes, there is a catch. We are horrible family so we don't do favor just because! We do favor out of another favor! LOL I'm just kidding. Whose family isn't horrible anyway? Wink** So yes, after some threatening and blackmailing he finally brought me those Pinoy food that I was longing for so long.

A bag-full of happy memories

Before my brother came here for a short vacation, we had a lot of emails and online chats exchange. It was a process that Pinoy (Filipino) travelers go through when they are going to visit a family member abroad. Let me explain this further. When a Pinoy is going to travel abroad it is expected to meet up with some Pinoy family and friends alike. And this calls for "pasalubong" (presents from home). So I emailed him a list of the things I want him to bring to me when he comes here. They are mostly Pinoy food that I miss so much and are not available in the stores here.
And he did just that. When he came, he did not only bring with him my most-requested food from home that I miss so much but a whole bag of happy memories from the past.
