Last year, I said goodbye to FB. I decided to deactivate my FB account for varied reasons. Now, I'm back.
Yesterday, I decided to activate my FB account for varied reasons too. That is why I'm back.
I believe that there are things we can't live without like: family, love, peace, hope, money (?), friends, food, water, air, sun, moon, stars... and the list can go on and on. Geez... there are a lot of things we can't live without, huh. But Facebook is not on the list. Not for me at least. Though I also believe that there are people who cannot live without it. People who breathe, eat, drink and po*p Facebook. LOL
Though I do believe that I can live without it, on the contrary, I know that I cannot run away from it forever. Social media takeover is something inevitable. And that is a fact. This is the age of social media revolution and if we want to take advantage of whatever it can offer us for our own benefits, we need to grab it. I need social media for my blogs (All 100 of it. Just kidding, I only have 7 active ones) to reach my readers and to keep them afloat the blog-o-sphere.
And so I am back. But I had to admit, I miss my friends and family when I left FB. I miss their updates and photos of family and friends. And I miss their comments. Likewise, I didn't really care about the drama and the shallowness of other people in FB. No offense meant. And I don't care what you bought, what you ate, what you are wearing and I don't care about your selfies. I don't judge them. I just don't really care.
But I do care when people post something sensible. I care about people's achievements whether in education and social endeavors, health and fitness, wealth and success, food and nutrition, and happy family gathering. I care about people celebrating victories and sympathizing with losses and failures. I care about these kinds of drama where people show compassion and love.
Now, I'm back. At first I was hesitant. I was afraid that people don't care about me too. LOL Ironic? I wonder if I was missed. And I was excited to catch up with old friends and loved ones. And yes, in 24 hours... 85 people liked my photos and 23 people sent me heart-felt messages. I guess, there are people who care about me after all. And yes, those people are the people I care about too that is why I am so back!

It's indeed summer in Maine. The air is warm and comfy. The breeze is
refreshing. And the sun is bright and lovely. Well, it could be worse.
