my roots

One day, my brother who is based in China asked me if I was aware that we have a family crest. What the heck is a family crest, I asked back? I had no clue whatsoever. It turned out that he did a research about our family name and its origin. It turned out that the ORONAs came from Ireland and that we are the descendants of Ronan. It also turned out that ORONA is a jewish surname which originally came from the Hebrew word AHARON

Out of curiosity, I googled it and voila… there it is – the Orona Family Crest or what is more popularly known as… the coat of arms. Yes, we have family Crest and a motto too which is – For he is our maker [whatever that means]. And I am using that crest for now on to uphold my roots.
