No School Today

Hayyy… another snow storm. I hate it! I hate winter! And I can’t believe I am saying this.

I used to love winter. I dreamt of White Christmases. I was fascinated by snow. It’s so beautiful to look at. It maybe cold but I still like it. And I wonder why most people I met here hate winter.

After living here for almost 2 years, I finally understand why. After I had been traumatized by the car accident, I finally realized how treacherous winter is. After dealing with power outage for 3 straight days [thanks God we have generator] due to ice storm which didn’t just cause outages all over the state but death too, I finally decided not to like winter.

Today, school is closed all over the entire state. So today, I stayed home. No work for me today. We have snow storm. We have mix snow, sleet and freezing rain. And worse case scenario… I might end up in the ditch again. And considering that it is only the start of the winter season… oh boy, we still have a long way to go. This will indeed be a long… cold… and bitter winter.
