Second Home

Thanks for the guest post by Jonathan Curtis

When we bought our second home I made sure we knew where each and every penny was going. I wanted to ensure that we weren’t going to become house poor for a vacation home and my husband agreed so we went down there and stayed DURING all the renovations to watch over it and make sure everything was under control. Once those were done I put in the finishing touches myself to save on a decorator and I did things like research Hughes Net Internet Pricing and cancel the alarm system since I didn’t feel like we really needed it in the gated community. I love that the place is all ours and that we’re able to afford it without a big hassle but one of these days we’re going to need to rent it outto cover the mortgage. I know my husband doesn’t like the idea but at the end of the day it’s all about meeting the numbers and that’s going to be the only really viable solution at a certain point.

The Baby or the Puppy?

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Puppies vs. Babies for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.
PvB-CuteDar-Green-300x250-Backup.jpgI work 12 hours now. Aside from the Kids’ Out Enrichment Program that I handle “before and after” school hours, I also work as Ed. Tech for Kindergarten kids. So practically, I am surrounded by kids 12 hours a day. I am not complaining. In fact I love my job. I so love the little ones who are just starting to learn their ABCs. They are so adorable and cute even if they have the tendencies to throw tantrums every now and then. But then, working 12 hours, 5 days a week is indeed exhausting. That is why I always look forward to weekends because I can do other things like – running.

The race last Sunday was not just another 5K run that I joined in the past. It was kinda special for two reasons. First… it’s my second trail run. I so love the trail because it’s a new trail built last year at the marina by the bay in Portland. The view is breathtaking. Second… It was a race for runners and their loyal bestfriends on leash. Yup, most of the runners ran with their dogs. It was awesome. It was cute. And it was totally wonderful.

Well, I don’t own a dog but I find them cute just like my little ones in school. Do you think it’s an odd way to compare the two? Well, I found this online contest about Puppies vs. Babies. It’s a contest where you vote for “who do you think is cuter – the puppies or the babies. It may sound ridiculous to compare the two but we are talking about cuteness here based on video and photos. Well, for me, I voted for the puppies since I don’t have a baby of my own. Though I don’t own a dog either, I still find the puppies cute because they don’t throw tantrums. [LOL] Just kidding.

I told my friend about it and she was so excited to submit photos of her puppy Chocolate Chips and her 8-month old baby Alexa hoping that she will bag the $5,000. Too bad submission time is over and the contest is now on it’s voting phase. She just voted and commented for now. But surely, she will join next time.
Well, this contest is really fun. So you… dog lovers and proud parents out there… why don’t you check out the Puppies vs. Babies online contest out and vote for your favorite photos of puppies and babies. You can also share your views or give your comment why you voted for the puppies or babies that you found cute. Voting is open until the 23rd of November. The winning puppy or baby will win $5,000.  Isn’t it awesome? C’mon, let’s join the fun and get counted.

For my Eyes Only

I got mail. Well, it’s the time of the year where I usually get mails from my OB Gyne for my yearly pap smear and mammogram scheduling, our family Physician for my annual physical exams, and my Eye Doctor for my yearly eye check-up. And speaking of eye check-up, I am pretty sure that I will need a new pair of glasses. If only I can read without glasses, it would totally awesome.

I hate eyeglasses not only because it’s too uncomfortable but basically because they cost so much. My very first prescription reading eyeglasses cost more than a couple hundred bucks. And in this tough economy, I cannot afford a new pair.

Good thing I know a place where I can get cheap eyeglasses made of the latest modern materials. They may be cheap but trust me, they are fashionably stylist and made of high quality and latest modern materials. I found this prescription eyeglasses online store – ZENNI Optical and now I am ready for my eye check-up. Yup, I will go for my eye check-up and will ask my eye doctor for my latest result and will just use them to order my new pair. How cool is that?

Well, Zenni prescription glasses are cheap or rather, reasonable and affordable because they manufacture and market their own products directly from their factories. The extra cost that they would pay for middlemen, retail overhead and advertising save consumers a lot of dough. And with that, I am so ready to get a new pair of glasses for my deserving eyes and that my pocket can afford.

My Brothers

Guest post written by my buddy Angelo Cooper

I was over at my brother's the other day trying to catch the latest Cal game (Go Bears!) He said he'd just ordered service on, so we were able to watch the Bears smash Utah. I wouldn't have been able to catch the game otherwise, being all the way over here on the east coast. Now, I'm thinking of ordering it for my own place! It'll become a family tradition! My brother is completely obsessed with all things sports, I honestly don't know how he ever gets anything done! Saturdays are for watching college football, and Sunday is for watching the pros go at it. The rest of the week is for talking about what happened at the games last weekend, and for predicting what will happen during the next weekend's games.

THAT’s What I’m Talking About!

I may not be a “businessman businessman” but I know how important advertising is to one’s business. I recently launch my craft-slash-hobby-slash-small business online and boy, I was totally amazed how hard it is to really get it going. There are lots of stuff that I really need to do aside from producing or manufacturing of the product. That part is actually the easiest. Getting it into the market or introducing it to the market to reach the consumer is really the name of the game.

Now, I am wondering how much more if I have a real business where I put a lot of my effort, time and investment. That I know needs an honest-to-goodness advertising to be able to get recognized in the market. With my hobby I am just eyeing for seasonal craft fairs and not really thinking of venturing into something huge. It’s just a hobby that I enjoy. But for those of you who are really putting a huge amount of investment into your business, you need a real Advertising Agency to help you achieve your goal and make profit.

Good thing there is That Company, a Leading Advertising Agency that can help you promote your business in a very effective and creative way. That Company can provide your business the most effective and creative advertising campaigns with measurable and positive results. Their teams of highly skilled advertising professionals are the best in using mixed media that can effectively help you from public relations to media buying to search engine optimization to event promotions.

What are you waiting for? Check out and get your business move faster to achieve your goal.

Getting ready with my Christmas List

Christmas is just around the corner and it means shopping for presents. This should no concern me much because I already have the long list handy. I already have listed down the things I need to buy for each member of the family according to importance.

It is my tradition to buy each member of the family stuff that they need for work, health and hobby. That is why for work, is my first shopping destination for my step-daughter’s high fashion scrubs. She works as caregiver so she needs them for work. I make it sure that every year she gets a new
set of scrubs for work.

If you are or any of your love ones or friends a caregiver… Blue Sky Scrubs are the best so why not check them out.

Written by Sherri Hicks

Fall, my favorite season, was finally on the horizon! It meant cooler weather, cozier clothing and one of my favorite sports, football. My boyfriend had just moved in with me and, since I currently only had Internet and no cable, this was one of the first things on the list. I asked him if he would get my computer and go to to schedule an appointment for our cable to be set up. Since it was only pre-season, we had a little bit of time before the regular season started. I realized that neither one of my teams, college or NFL, were among the most talented of the bunch, but I was always excited to watch, regardless. That being said, I’m not sure if it was the actual sport or simply the atmosphere that contributed to my love of the crisp fall weather. Although I have made a valiant effort to learn more about the rules and regulations of football, I have to admit that I lean toward thinking it’s simply a side dish to the main course!

Golden Mushroom

What a Summer!

School will start soon and vacation is over. I had to admit, it has been a great summer for us weather and time, wise. Hubby and I spend most of our weekends this year up the mountain camping and gold panning. But when summer is over… this means we will be staying home again doing our regular weekend activity – movie marathon on “Direct TV” and enjoying tons of popcorn and beer.

In a week’s time, kids will be back in school and vacationing is over. This means that we will be out of the house most of the time again working hard or in my case, running outdoors when I can or if weather-permitting. So, this could also mean that we will leave our home empty which could be a great opportunity for burglary. But I don’t worry much about it because “home security auburn” gives me the peace of mind I need. And all I have to do is enjoy every minute working and running outdoors[ to shed the pounds off that I will be putting on from eating popcorn and drinking beer] until it’s time again to be with my hubby at the end of the day.

Ah… what a summer, indeed!

Confession of an Alien

Unknown to many, an immigrant here in the US is called "alien". That is what the "A" stands for when you get your Green Card. The letter A is followed by a series of number which became your permanent ID number. Yes, we "aliens" are "numbered". hahahaha
 [Me, 4 years ago.]

It sounds a little discriminating at first but eventually I got used to it and it didn't really affect me that much. It's just a little disturbing though knowing what "alien" really means to "earthlings". LOL

When I came here 4 years ago, I really felt like an alien. When I go in the grocery, kids would stare at me either in pure bewilderment or animosity. I can't blame them, I don't look ordinary like most of the people they see around them. When I open my mouth to speak, people had to say "What's that again?" because they can't understand my "alien accent" or they probably thought I was speaking in "tongues". And yes, nobody can actually tell me apart from other Asian people living in our area because we "aliens" practically look alike. hahaha

After four years of doing my grocery in the same store, I finally realized the other day that I am an "alien" no more. Or maybe, I still am. It's just that those people I meet every weekend when I do my grocery shopping got used to seeing me hovering from isle to isle browsing on every items on the sale list. I probably look familiar already because they don't give me a bewildered look and even say "hi" and would even stop to say "how yah doin?" And yes, kids now smile at me whenever I pass by.

Normally, it will only take me about thirty minutes to get done with my grocery shopping. That is when I won't be reading all the back labels of all the stuff I wanted to buy. But recently, it takes me more than two hours to do my errand simply because I would bump to some people I know and would chat for an average of 30 minutes. Yes, and this happens most of the time. It would even take more than 10 minutes for me to finish my bank transactions in the bank [which is located inside the grocery too] because I would have a chat with the Teller. And yes, Lindsey, my bank Teller and I are in "first name basis". We would even chat and catch up even if we see each other some place else.
[Me, with my "Earthling" friends.]

My Two Questions:
1. Did you ever feel like an alien or a foreigner in your own home?
2. How did you deal with the feeling of being alienated?

It's been four years now since I left the Philippines and have not been back since then. Oh how I miss home. And though Maine is my home now... I still feel homesick being at home. Maybe next year... I might go back for a visit. But for now... Maine is home and I am no longer an Alien.

Summer Essential

Ah summer. What is summer without the aid of some awesome outdoor furniture around our house that made our sunny and not-so-sunny days complete? Yes, outdoor furniture is an essential part of my outdoor experience. Oh how I love lounging in our port in the middle of the day having a cold glass of homemade lemonade with sweet mint leaves from my herb garden while watching the birds feeding on my feeders or facebooking on my lappy. lol

There is nothing great than watching the sunset with my Hubby on our nice colorful and comfy Adirondack chairs and talking about how our day was.

There is nothing more exciting than having a weekend cookout at the backyard and enjoying lunch with friends around our Picnic Tables and feasting on lobsters. Yum!

There is nothing really fun than sitting on our Park Benches nicely placed under the maple trees lining our driveway and waiting for the mailman.

And there is nothing sweeter than listening to the laughter of the kids playing around the new playground equipment that we have installed early this spring.

Ah, summer. You will soon be over but all these special furniture that bear witness to all the fun and joy you bring will always be a part of our lives. Sure we will still enjoy all of this outdoor furniture one more season. They will surely bear witness again to another yet colorful and majestic New England Fall but it will not be long. Winter will pass and before long, it will be time to enjoy outdoors again… and life goes on with a little help from Terra Bound Solutions.

Spending Diet

Okay... this may sound ridiculous or disturbing perhaps but I am done. I am done going crazy with shopping and spending.

No, it's not official that I am turning my back on shopping. Who doesn't love shopping? It's the best therapy in the whole world. Expensive though. Wink*

But yes, it's official, I am on a "spending diet". It's the best I could do to trim my budget. Hard though. LOL

So how do I do that? I leave all my credit cards at home every time I go out. I can't trust myself when I am in a store. The safest thing to do is to keep them away from me and out of my sight so that I won't be tempted to get lured by the subliminal message hidden behind the sign - SALE 70% OFF.

But still, at the back of my mind I know that they are there... tuck neatly in my jewelry box. So there is still a great danger. And it scared me out of my wits.

And so, one day I came to my senses and cut them all up.
 Whew... that was easy!

P.S. The following day, I received a replacement card from one of them companies. Isn't the weird or destiny? hahaha. And oh by-the-way, I still go shopping... grocery shopping. We need to eat, you know. Wink. Have a wonderful weekend.

My Sewing Machine

I bought a mini sewing machine recently. I have been wanting to fix my jammies because they are too long for me and I always trip when I am wearing them. So I found this very small, battery-operated sewing machine for 15 bucks and I was so happy. I bought it and next thing I knew, I was buying fabric for curtains too.
So I tried to sew curtains. Ok, if you are wondering if I have any qualifications to sew anything... my answer is YES. My mom was the best dressmaker in town. She was the most sought-after wedding dressmaker in our little town and her reputation is flawless. She made practically most of the wedding dresses of the brides in our town. Too bad, she was already long gone when it was my turn to be a bride. [I shouldn't have waiting too long to get married. lol]
And this morning I was working on the ruffles of the curtains when all of a sudden one of the parts of the sewing machine flew off. And there goes my project. And no... I am not going to sew them by hands.

End of the story.

My Two Questions:
1. Is there project that you like to do for fun?
2. How do you react when the project you are working on didn't come out as you expected?

P.S. Just so you know... I will try to find that "part" first thing tomorrow morning so I can continue my project. wink*

Weed Flower

I was exploring the woods one day when we spent another weekend gold panning at Byron, Maine. And these weed flowers are all over the place. They may look ordinary to me. Well, they are indeed ordinary. But I was amazed how the photo turned out when I took a snapshot on macro.

Thought of sharing it with you. Oh by the way... can anyone tell me the name of this flower? I am ignorant on this department. LOL Thanks.

Mom Knows Best

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Straight Talk for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

I am having a blast this summer compared with last year’s. I think being unemployed helped me a lot in that department. Well, I am really “unemployed-unemployed". I do have options and I opted not to work. Why not, it’s summer vacation. It’s a great opportunity for me to bum around and get lazy. Everyone deserves that.
However, my current situation doesn’t help my Hubby’s department – the financial side. Hahaha But of course we are always open for options. We can always adapt to the situation and be flexible. And we can always be creative like – switching our phone to Straight Talk.

Why not, if it can cut our cell phone bill in half, I will surely feel richer. In this tough economy why stay on a contract with the phone company when we can get everything you need without one? With this in mind, I could be very creative on how and what to do with the amount of money we could be saving by switching to Straight Talk. Wink*

“What would you buy with the extra money you save?”, I was thinking out loud. Hubby replied… “new hook, line and sinker for my ice fishing this Winter.” Oh shoot! hahaha

Straight Talk is awesome. You don’t need contracts so you there are no surprise bills and yes, no credit checks. It provides great nationwide coverage and has excellent reception and connectivity. Something that is so frustrating with our current phone company. And one thing more, Straight Talk only uses trusted phone manufacturers like LG, Motorola, Kyocera, Nokia and Samsung.

Their Monthly Plans are great too.
• The “All You Need Plan” meets even the needs of heavy phone users with 1,000 minutes, 1,000 texts and 30 MB of web data.
• Unlimited Monthly service is only $45, and includes calls, text, picture messaging, and web.
• Imagine unlimited calls, text, picture messaging and web for a whole year, for only $499.00!
• 411 calls are included at no extra charge.
• Free from activation, reactivation, or termination fees
While their International Long Distance is something I really prefer because I can call a friend in the Philippines without worrying huge bills. Why? This is why:
Straight Talk International Long Distance Service is a flexible prepaid calling service that enables you to make international calls from your home, cell or office phone at low rates.
And their phone selection is great too. Check this out.
• Reconditioned phones are available from $10.00 with camera, mp3 player, mobile web access, and blue-tooth capability. Great for young users!
• Amazing smart phones; touch screen phones, and app capable phones with features like voice navigation, camera, video recorder, music player, instant messaging, and Bluetooth®
Well, if you are not convince yet, check this video out.

And here is another video of real Straight Talk customer that really got Hubby convinced.

So when he was asked by my stepson why switch phone, he only replied… mom knows best!.

On Choices

I am out of work right now. Not that I didn't have offers and choices. I did. First I have a choice to apply for  "unemployment benefit"[lol] so that I can just relax and get paid. But I know it takes a lot of effort to do that. I mean, filing... interview... logging. No, I'm all set. Then I was thinking of doing "summer camp" or "subbing" for our preschool because they are part of the YMCA programs too where I am connected. But no, I want to take a vacation from the kids so I will be able to recharge and be empowered again once the school starts this fall. I suspect that I am beginning to develop some allergies with kids now. hahaha just kidding. Of course, I love kids. They are the ones that give me happiness doing my job.

Then, I applied to work as chambermaid in a posh Condominium in Old Orchard Beach and I was accepted. I quit the second day though. LOL. I have never thought that cleaning houses is hard. Well, why took the job in the first place? Because it's right down at the beach. I was thinking of hanging out on the beach after work and soak in the sun while reading a good book or people watching over smoothie. I got my folding chair, cooler, book, umbrella, and bathing suit in my car. But that didn't happen. I was already tired at the end of the day [even if I worked for only 6 hours]. And went straight home crying. My whole body hurt.

The following day, I searched job online and found something that only required me to revise a job application letter for a doctor in Australia and I got paid 40$. I did the job for 30 minutes while "facebooking". Yay. Awesome!

So for my 2 questions:
1. What odd jobs have you done so far?
2. Do you love your job because of the salary or the work you do?

There you go guys... have a happy weekend. Hubby and I and Brandon will be spending the weekend camping and gold panning.

Favorite educational show

Thanks for the post from Irving Ayala

My entire family now watch tvbydirect every night because of the most awesome learning programs that can be seen daily. The Discovery channel has so much more to offer than just reading a simple book. A book may describe something but with the television anybody can actually see what people are talking about. The program Rome is a fascinating insight into the Roman empire and what life was like hundreds of years ago from all areas and aspects of Roman society. My eldest daughter is studying Roman history in her school and this program is better than most internet sites that she has been studying from.

The program is full of action from start to finish and not only shows what a street urchin looks like, but also describes smells and emotions felt at different time. The whole show is amazing and a credit to tv producers everywhere. The program has taught me loads since we started watching it and if I was totally honest I am glad I was born in the technology age rather than then. Posting a letter to family from the from line of a battle took over three months to arrive at a destination which was possibly no more than one hundred miles away, which is also similar to today's modern second class post in some areas.

Officially Unemployed

So yes, I am officially unemployed. School is over and kids are on vacation, there are no kids to take care of. That is one thing I like about working in the educational institution - you go on vacation longer. The only downside is - I don't get paid like the regular teachers. Oh well, I do have a choice - work as a camp counselor in Summer Camp. But that is an option that I will never go anymore. I have tried it once and I was traumatized. LOL
Kids are different when school is out. They are more energetic and wild. I couldn't keep up with them. So this year I decided to go a different route where I have not been before and boy, I tell you - I will never go back there again. hayyy!

For the Best!

It's vacation time. Woohoo. Now I don't have to worry about getting up early. The only sad part is that - I am unemployed. Huhuhu. But I am not really that sad. It is a choice I made. I could work if I want to or apply for unemployment benefit. Thinking... thinking! Nah! Not a good option. I believe that I have other potentials that I just need to explore and try.

It's vacation time. School is out... fun is in. Well, for those who graduated from college the fun doesn't start until they have decided what to do after graduation. There are more things to do and a lot to think about like - college. So if you are a newly graduate and still have not decided what to do with your life why not check out Walden University and find out all the great opportunities waiting for you.

Well, we know that life is tough and getting a college education is a tough decision to make. And in this tough economy, money is always a big issue. But don't be discourage too quickly, there is hope and there is a way to get your feet in the door. Check out because help is just a click away.

Graduates... you are the future and the hope of our country. It's about time to claim your spot in the sun. And please keep in mind that we got your back so don't worry... don't be afraid... we trust you and we know that whatever decision you make... it is for the best.

My Running Secret

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of Walgreens for SocialSpark. All opinions are 100% mine.

It feels like summer now here in New England. I spend more time outdoors now running. I started running this year and I am having a lot of fun doing so. Finally winter is over and spring is doing a great job on my training. It’s a little unusual for us here in Maine to get a really hot weather but the sun is usually gorgeous just like anywhere else.

And just like anywhere else, the sun’s effect on my skin is a little scary so I take extra care and precaution. That is why I never run without sunscreen. Correction, I never run without my Walgreens Brand Triple Strength Glucosamine Chondroitin Complex Dietary Supplement. It’s one of the Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Products that their pharmacist recommended to help me achieve stronger and healthier bones and joints. I like this product not only for its health benefit but for its price as well. It’s cheaper and more affordable compared with other leading brands.

I like shopping at Walgreens for all my health and wellness products because….
Purchase of every Walgreens Brand Health & Wellness Product supports bringing preventive wellness services to local communities through the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™.
a. Walgreens will contribute up to $3 million annually to the Walgreens Way to Well Fund™.
b. The Walgreens Way to Well Fund™ will provide free preventive health tests as well as other health and wellness services and education to local communities. Some of those services will include preventive health tests through the National Urban League Health & Wellness Tour and vouchers redeemable in select stores.

My Reliable helper

It’s not just springtime here, it’s mud season too. Yikes. I live in Maine, so I am not really surprise anymore. In fact, I am actually expecting it that is why I have not tucked away my rain boots yet. I know I will need it every now and then.
Well, rain is part of spring. Flowers need water to grow and bloom. But too much of it is not good. Thunderstorms and hurricanes left and right made a big mess in our cellar. Water started leaking leaving a huge damage on our carpet. Good thing there is water damage clean up austin and best carpet steam cleaner austin… at least I don’t have to worry about the aftermath of these usual occurrence that are part and parcel of spring. I just need to go online and check out and I will be all set.

Well, I am not really whining, I love spring and I love the rain too. But too much is not ok. So for now, I will just enjoy the mild weather. At least it’s not freezing cold like winter or fiery hot like summer. And even if it is dump and soggy and muddy… at least I know where I can get the help I need. And I am all set.

Finally, I got the rare chance to blog here. Yeah, I was a bit side-tracked with a lot of stuff and goings-on in my life right now and blogging on a regular basis is no longer a priority.

No, I am not thinking of a career change. I am just plain side-tracked. It could be the weather. It is indeed getting crazy each day. Nothing more predictable than the unpredictable weather. It could be the pollen. For some reason, after so many years of being allergy-free... now I am allergic to almost everything. And it could be hormonal too. And I will not discuss about it further.

So just an update here... I am still very much around - though not too active. I am still thinking of reviving some of my regular post series - but that depends on my schedule. And I am trying my best to come up with new ideas - and I pray to God that I won't be side-tracked. LOL

Almost Summer

It's Memorial Day Weekend! And what does it mean to any American? Well, it means a lot of things. It means, long weekend... no work and all play. It could mean - the unofficial start of summer... barbeques, beaches and camping. It can also means traveling and being away from home.

When this happens, one needs to make sure that home is safe while the family is away.  This means, that making sure that home is safe from burglaries and untoward surprises that may ruin the happy memorable short vacation. Well, "home security glendive" in Montana is doing a great job in protecting homes while homeowners are enjoying what life has to offer.

But if budget and time is an issue for family who will be home for the long holiday, backyard barbeques while mowing the lawn is equally awesome. And after a long tiring pre-summer cleaning of the yard, it is indeed great to gather in front of the TV and do movie marathon with the entire family, especially if you have LocalTV Satellite.
It's almost summer now and soon the kids will be home most of the time. If you still don't have Direct TV hook-up it's time to check out so you can have a back-up plans to keep your kids busy and entertained.

The Simpsons: Sweetest Episode Ever

Guest post written by my buddy Hans Hale

My favorite TV episode of all time is The Sweetest APU, an episode from the 13th season of The Simpsons. I am a big fan of nearly every episode, but this one stands out.

I live in the Cleveland, Ohio area and Simpson reruns are common here. My satellite TV from BESTCHOICETV.COM provides in-depth future program information, so I can find out when this episode might air.

In this episode, the local store clerk APU is caught cheating on his wife. Homer Simpson sees this cheating firsthand while he is in the store.

Apu is an immigrant from India whose wife has eight children. The stress of running the store and raising eight children had finally made him give in t! o cheating.

The plot however is not what makes this episode my favorite. The reason for me is the hilarious and imaginative script writing that was done.

I believe the Simpson writers were at their best during this time period, which was in the early 2000s. They were faced with heavy competition from other cartoon shows and responded accordingly.

Everyone knows that the character of Homer is a total oaf that somehow always succeeds despite his stupidity. In this episode that shines through, especially with a ridiculous scheme that has his kids putting on awkward and poorly planned displays of Indian culture.

Start Clean

Finally, it’s spring. And spring cleaning has just started. Hayyy. Oh yes, that is part of the changing seasons. And that is inevitable, so to speak.

It’s spring and it’s time to open the windows and let the fresh air in… so I can get rid of the molds. But of course, molds won’t go away just but opening the windows. They need honest-to-goodness cleaning with matching attention to detail like home steam carpet cleaner austin.

Well, I am not really thrilled about the whole cleaning thingy. It’s hard work and I don’t have time for that since I am a busy woman. But as long as I have house carpet cleaning austin at my beck and call, I’m all set. I don’t have to worry about the tough job of cleaning my carpet. It’s all taken care of. Another cool thing about this spring cleaning is - air duct cleaning austin texas. Yup, even that significant part is well taken care of because they are the best guys for the job.

So, if you are in the same shoes, call cleaning restoration services austin and get the help you need to start the new season with a clean house.

Cool Wallpapers

I am always in front of the computer. I am a blogger so go figure.

But when I get bored of blogging I would just play with my computer. I mean, play with the system and other applications to enhance its function. And one thing that I love doing with it is to change my desktop background. It's really fun since I can find a lot of cool wallpaper photos from HD Wallpapers.

Favorite Fashion Show

The Author of this post is Herman Barry

The reason that I like the few reality TV that I watch is because it is so stress free. After I spend all day at work and then all night taking care of the kids, cooking dinner, cleaning up after dinner, putting the kids to bed (the list goes on) I like to sit down and completely space out watching mindless TV like Project Runway on satellite TV that I got after seeing this DirecTV DVR Comparison. I will admit however that out of all my mindless reality TV shows that I watch this does get me a little anxious sometimes. I worry that my favorite designer will not make it or worse that my least favorite designer will make it instead. I! also love Heidi Klum and Tim Gunn. They have a way of always seeming so graceful and eloquent and it is really hard to stay mad at either one of them even if they just kicked off my favorite designer. They never just tell someone that their design is not good or that they have to go home but I feel like they really put some thought into each individual creation and what is wrong with it. That is something I could never do. I just do not have the patience. I know when I do not like something but sometimes have a problem pinpointing what it is exactly that I do not like and that is something the entire panel of judges and Tim Gun are very good at.

Let's go Thai, this time.

One of the highlights of any trip is - food. Just like any other tourist, I didn't just go to California for a visit and to see places... I went there for the food. Oh Yeah, for the love of food! And any trip will not be complete without "food trip".

So after my Jollibee langhap sarap... I met up with my former student Carmen whom I have not seen for over 7 years. She treated me and my cousin Joey to a sumptuous Thai dinner at Thai Patio at Hollywood Blvd.

I ordered Tom Yum Soup - Thai's version of our very own Sinigang.
... and of course, the yummy papaya salad for side dish.
We also ordered other dish but these two are my favorite and the only ones which pictures I took.

Get what you Deserve

“Banks Sit On $2B; Homeowners Bankrupt” I read this online and found out that there is a new funding for Californians to keep them out of bankruptcy and home foreclosures. The problem is the money is being held up by banks. What a shame. Well if you are one of those who needs help on this issue check out Sacramento bankruptcy attorney and get the help you need now because you deserve it.

Get into the Scrubs

When I was younger I was fascinated by nurses pretty much because of their uniform. They look so professional in white nursing uniforms with matching white cap worn on their hair. Then I outgrown my fancy childhood dream because I kinda got bored with white uniform specially when I went to college where my uniform was... yes, you guess it right - white. I found it so boring.

After 3 decades, a lot of things have changed and that includes nursing uniforms. And they are not called that anymore but rather... scrubs. I kinda like it and my fascination is back probably because I am thinking of enrolling again in medical school not really just to wear scrubs but because it is one of the most bankable professions nowadays.

Well, I was looking at some all cotton scrubs online and I found out that there are lots of cheap scrub uniform to choose from. Now, that part of the issue is settled, I just wonder if I could really have the time and the resources to get into a new career.

One Afternoon

One afternoon at Pebble Beach. The cold breeze brushed against my sun-kissed cheeks. And I was soaking up the beauty right before my eyes... and the Tour Guide called...
"Let's Go to McDonald!" Yay!
