Second Home

When we bought our second home I made sure we knew where each and every penny was going. I wanted to ensure that we weren’t going to become house poor for a vacation home and my husband agreed so we went down there and stayed DURING all the renovations to watch over it and make sure everything was under control. Once those were done I put in the finishing touches myself to save on a decorator and I did things like research Hughes Net Internet Pricing and cancel the alarm system since I didn’t feel like we really needed it in the gated community. I love that the place is all ours and that we’re able to afford it without a big hassle but one of these days we’re going to need to rent it outto cover the mortgage. I know my husband doesn’t like the idea but at the end of the day it’s all about meeting the numbers and that’s going to be the only really viable solution at a certain point.
