A Grateful Heart Weekends: My Bestfriend's Wedding

Wedding is always a happy occasion. I love weddings because they always bring out the best in people. Weddings bring families, friends and well-wishers together to celebrate the special event with the loving couple.
I spent one summer in the Philippines in 2012. It was nice to be back home after 5 long years of being away from family and friends. Consequently, that year one of my BFFs finally decided to tie the knot. And since I came home without anyone knowing about it [except for 4 people], my visit came as a surprise to my friend Tess. The meeting brought back the "drama queens" in us. LOL.

Som Tom: The Ruthilicious Version

The other day, I had a craving for Thai Salad. But the problem was. I was too lazy to drive and go out to eat.

So, to solve my problem I just made myself a Thai Salad.

I got myself a green papaya the last time I went grocery shopping. I was planning to have it ripen and make a smoothie out of it. But the calling for Thai Salad was so strong that it ended up into a Som Tom - Green Papaya Salad.

I was so happy with my ingenuity so I took some photos and post it in my IG and one of my friends in FB ask me how to make it so here you go.

A Glimpse of my Trip to Haiti

Life is full of many surprises so they say. I couldn't agree more. Miracles happen every time. Blessings on the other hand is like the air we breath. We know it is there but we don't see it. Like miracles and blessings, we are aware of them but we don't really appreciate them as much until we are put in a situation we are not expecting and not prepared for.

I would like to share with you this beautiful write-up written by a good friend mine about her personal journey to Haiti. I hope this will inspire you and give you new meaning to miracles and blessings. Read on.

A Grateful Heart Weekends: Now a Mainstay

If you have visited this site in the past couple of weeks, you might have noticed that this is undergoing a major facelift and reconstruction process. It is inevitable. The decision wasn't easy. It's painful and heart-breaking. But after considering a lot of options and exploring all possibilities, I finally accepted the fact that I am no superwoman. I tried my best to keep up with the expectations but it's just not possible anymore. Because of that, I decided to downsize and to keep only two - this site and the other one (which is undergoing major change too) out of the eight blogs that I lovingly manage in the past eight years so I can give you a more effective and engaging blogs that I dreamt of.

I am officially giving up and ending the existence of my six other blogs to rehabilitate and nurture those two remaining blogs. This transition will be a long and tedious task but I am positive that it will be done in no time.

Enjoying Summer with lots of Selfies

I can't believe it's already August. I have only 3 weeks left of my summer vacation and it will be back to reality in no time. I think I am having a panic attack right this minute.
