Fallin' For Pumpkin Season

Pumpkin Spice
Summer is definitely over and Fall is finally here.

The proofs are all over the place. I can see them in my backyard, on the road, in the store, and in the air. And if I won't be lazy to take my Fall outfit out of my Fall tote just yet, I will be enjoying the foliage in no time.

Fall is my favorite season. I love the crisp cool breeze, the changing color of sceneries and most of all the Fall flavor.

Did someone say pumpkin?

Did I hear pumpkin pie latte? How many pumpkin spice flavor products can you name? Have you tried pumpkin spice Oreos and M&M and pop tarts and mini wheats and candles and.... condom!

Are you freakin' serious?

Oh, the whole scenario can drive me nuts. It also reminds me that I need to get my groove on into serious Fall cleaning too. True story.

I love Fall for many reasons.

Everything pumpkin is just one.

Apple picking is another. The smell of hot mulled apple cider and apple cider donuts are just so inviting and tempting.

Diet will definitely be going down the drain.

Speaking of Fall, this year I am planning to visit my Filipina friend who lives in Ohio. She has been telling me or bragging (it's more like it) about her lovely adopted state since I moved here in the United States 10 years ago.

This year, she finally bought her dream house and she wants me to help her decorate it. Oh my, I can only imagine how exciting it would be because back in the Philippines when we were still in pigtails, we would play house and decorate our houses with stuff that we made ourselves.

Think about cardboards, lots of them.

Think about empty gift boxes, tons of them.

Think about all the art papers and crayons and glue and yarns.

It was my mother's nightmare because of the gigantic mess we would create. We would even draw our dream houses like we were professional architects. In fact, I still have them in my treasure box back home where I kept them eon years ago.

I love traveling. I love seeing new places and Ohio is one of the many exciting places I want to visit before I die. It is definitely on my bucket list. I can't wait to see my friend and explore the sight and taste of Ohio.

Planning for this trip is both exciting and challenging. Since I only have a week to spend in Ohio, I want to make the most out of my trip. I had to do my homework and research about the must-see, must-do and yes, must-eat in The Buckeye State.

Of course, I know my friend already have an itinerary ready for me but I still like to have an idea of the places where she will be bringing me and the food we will be indulging in. Well, I am not really concern about the extra weight I will be putting on. I am more concern about the places we will be going to. There is no way I will go to a place without a little knowledge about it because I need to be ahead of my game. Fall Season

Visiting my BFF in Ohio this Fall is a long overdue vacation that I look forward too. I need a break and I need to spend some quality time with my friend who I consider - the sister I never had.

So yes, I definitely want to see historical landmarks like the Lighthouse in Marblehead State Park which is just one of the many places I want to see and to take some selfies for my IG.

Well, just thinking about Ohio and Fall and Pumpkin definitely awakens some curiosity in me so I'm definitely sold on the idea of a Fall Getaway anytime soon.

And speaking of pumpkin, I want to share a new Fall Recipe inspired by Hummusapiens- I just tweaked it a little and modified the recipe according to my liking.

Apple-Pumpkin Protein Balls

What's in it:
Pumpkin-Apple Recipe

How I made it:
1. Preheat oven to 350F

2. Put dates, apple sauce, pumpkin puree, and almond milk in a food processor or blender. Blend until mixture is pureed. Add the almond flour, protein powder, pumpkin spice and cinnamon to the mixture and blend until a dough ball is formed. Stir in the chocolate chips. Add more almond flour if the dough is too wet and soft to make a ball.

3. In a baking sheet, form small balls of dough and line them up. Bake for 20 minutes.Healthy Recipes

There you go my friends. Hope you will try this healthy Fall recipe that I created and share it with your loved ones.
