Today is the Day

It's holiday today. There is no work... there is no school... there is no need to wake up 4:30 in the morning.
Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and we are celebrating it to commemorate that special day. I had some idea about him based on what I read and what I heard but somehow it has not affected me that much because I am an immigrant from another country so the only thing that matters is - it is a holiday and that is a good thing.
Today is the eve of Barack Obama's inauguration as the 44th President of the United States. It is now time to get serious. Though this event doesn't affect me that much too because I am not a US citizen and I wasn't allowed to vote yet. But somehow I was able to feel the hope and the faith of the Americans on the new president. And I know that this will gave a great impact on my future because I am living here in the US now.
