My first Pinoy Breakfast

After 5 years of being away from home, I finally got the chance to revisit "My Philippines". The trip was long and bumpy. The waiting seemed endless. And the longing was frantic.

I arrived past midnight of June 27th and was met by 3 of the only 4 people who knew I was coming home. I left Maine with a hurricane and arrived in My Philippines with a storm.

My cousin, her husband, my brother and I had a lot of catching up to do. But since I was so tired we just had a little updating till 3 in the morning. And I woke up to a hearty breakfast of longanisa (local sausage), fried egg and sinangag (fried rice)...
with matching hot cup of homemade cocoa or as our dear Lola Mina used to call it "tabliya".
This is my very first Pinoy breakfast in 5 years. This is the start of my journey back home and 5 lbs. weight gain in 5 days period.

This is another Entry for Food Trip Day.
