Tapioca Pudding... Anyone?

The Holidays is not over yet. We still have one last Hurrah before the year ends. And there is still one thing we have to do before we finally say goodbye to 2009.

Yes, the Holidays is almost over but we still have one very important thing to do... the New Year's dinner with family. Luckily, I don't have to prepare them. And luckily again, I am only assigned to eat... and do the dishes. Hay!

But for those who are thinking of something different to offer for dessert. Why not try my Tapioca Pudding?

Here are the Ingredients:
1 pack Tapioca or Sago[can be bought from Asian Stores]
1 can Condensed Milk
1/2 cup of sugar [optional, Splenda is prepared]
1 All Purpose Cream
1 Heavy Cream
1 pack Jell-o Vanilla Pudding Mix
1 liter Water

1. Bring water to boil.

2. Add tapioca in boiling water while stirring continuously to avoid tapioca to stick together. Stir until tapioca is transparent in color or until done.

3. Add condensed milk and stir. [If sweeter version is prepared you may add half a cup of sugar.]

4. Mix all purpose cream and stir.

5. Remove mixture from heat and transfer it in a bowl. Stir mixture to cool down.

6. Mix heavy cream into the mixture and stir.

7. Add pudding mix. Stir continuously until mixture thickens.

8. Pour in a rectangular dish or dessert container.

9. Chill and serve.

There you go. Have a happy meal... a happy dessert... and a Happy New Year ahead.

Finally, It's Christmas!

Finally, it’s Christmas! The long hours or days of scouting and searching for gift items and presentable presents are now over. Isn’t it silly? You go through a lot of stores in search for the most unique and adorable items for your loved one and go home empty handed. Oh well, at least you have another alibi to go out shopping again on weekends.

Finally, it’s Christmas! The long nights of wrapping is over and it’s now time to get ready to unwrap the presents. Isn’t that silly? You need to wrap presents nicely and neatly… only to rip it good and make a big mess out of it. Oh well, that’s the fun part of gift giving.

Finally, it’s Christmas! The long days of waiting is over and it’s now time to open the presents and go crazy over the new stuff that your loved ones painstakingly wrapped for you. Isn’t it silly? I only realized now that I even bought some wedding accessories as Christmas presents. Oh well, funny as it is, I was able to make a little modification on them and made unique presents that are very christmasy… and they loved them.

Finally, it’s Christmas! And it’s time to clean up.

It’s [officially] winter now.

Lens-Craft Day No. 3

Though it has been snowing since the last week of November and the temperature has been terribly bitter night and day… it is only now that the winter season officially starts.

Though I hate winter because of the bad experience I had last year there is some aspect of it that I truly love. I love ice-fishing with Hubby. I love snowmobiling at the frozen lakes and ponds. I love snowshoeing outback. I love the postcard-perfect white landscapes of the rolling hills and valleys. I love the frosted pine trees after the snowfall. And most importantly, I love sipping hot cocoa with mini marshmallows by the fireplace.

Though I hate winter… I still don’t have a choice but to deal with it. I have to deal with the slushy, icy and slippery winter roads. I have to deal with the cold weather and freezing temperature. I have to deal with sore arms and feet from shoveling/scrapping snow on the driveway and on my car. And most importantly, I have to deal with weight gain due to hot cocoa.

So, during this winter season, Health Weight Loss is my major priority. There is nothing more important to me than to get fit and stay healthy... because winter it is!

I was missed

I got a form from USPS stating that "they missed me".

Well, I was expecting a parcel delivery last week and apparently, I wasn't home to receive the package... so they really did miss me.

So I hurriedly drove to the Post Office to pick up the package myself.

Finally, I got the skin product that I ordered online a couple of weeks back from VMV Hypoallergenics and I am so happy. Now, I am so ready for the cold winter season without worrying about dry skin.

Note: This is not a paid advertisement by VMV. I just so love the product and been using it for over 5 years now. I am just sharing it here.

The Color of Fall

Lens-Craft No. #2.

Fall... falling... falling for fall. Cold wintery weather is indicative of a yet another changing season.

Today... the first snowfall has finally covered the whole of Maine in white and for the last time... I want to keep the colorful memories of fall until the next season.

As the color of the leaves fade and turns into brown.

As the brown leaves lose its life and dry up and die.

And as the last leaf finally fall on the ground to await the first snowfall to cover its resting place...

... nature awaits for a yet another change of season.

Web Designing Mode

Scrappy Thingy Day: Scrap #3

Day 2 of web designing mode for me.

I'm so sorry, but I can't help it. It's just what I call "being me".

I just can't help myself doing things that interests me. And when I say "interest" it is defined as... things that occupy or contain my mind, my mood, my dreams, and my breathe for the time being. Yes, just for the time being until another "new" object or issue becomes a "new point of interest".

And so this is the product of my interest... another website design for my dear cousin Jen for her new blog "loving life and living it".

Hope Jen will like the color and color combination, texture, embellishments, header, lay-out, and over-all design of her blog template.

Now I can got to sleep and dream again of yet another design for her baby sister. LOL.
