I have been blogging since 2006 and the fact that I am still into it and managing 9 blogs all at the same time is not just an achievement for me but a passion that I can’t live without. Being able to write my nagging thoughts is always a way for me to have a sort of a breathing space, my refuge and a cup of tea… the changing seasons are always unpredictable and being a carpenter’s wife in this foreign land would have been hard if my heart and soul have no other way of dealing with my scrappy thingy… that is why blogging and meeting bloggers all over the world and sharing the same passion for writing and blogging are just some of the perks that I get from blogging… it was just simply ruthilicious… if you know what I mean.

And I want to pass the award to my blogger friends who share the same passion... Karen, Sterndal, Nice, Myles and Japol.

New Blog on the Block

Meet ted.

Beat Me

I’m beat. I had a hectic day. I was already up at 4:30 AM and left the house at 5:15 AM to go to work. I still felt sleepy when I was driving to work but I got to keep myself awake during the entire commute to reach the work site safe and unharmed.

The road was alright compared yesterday. The temperature was kinda warm compared to sub zero degrees last week. And the kids were happy and alert as usual. But despite these good things, I am not feeling well. I have a bad cold… dry cough… and sore throat. I only did 15 minutes of cardio exercises at the gym… blogged for a few minutes… had lunch… and went to take a nap in my car. Winter season is not really my favorite season. I was really beat.

Today is the Day

It's holiday today. There is no work... there is no school... there is no need to wake up 4:30 in the morning.

Today is Martin Luther King Jr. Day and we are celebrating it to commemorate that special day. I had some idea about him based on what I read and what I heard but somehow it has not affected me that much because I am an immigrant from another country so the only thing that matters is - it is a holiday and that is a good thing.

Today is the eve of Barack Obama's inauguration as the 44th President of the United States. It is now time to get serious. Though this event doesn't affect me that much too because I am not a US citizen and I wasn't allowed to vote yet. But somehow I was able to feel the hope and the faith of the Americans on the new president. And I know that this will gave a great impact on my future because I am living here in the US now.

Meet the Experts

Having a car is a big responsibility. It’s just like having a kid… or a pet… or a wife… or… a husband. Yup, car [like your kids or spouse] needs special attention. It needs regular maintenance. And it needs total care. This may sound funny but sometimes, men love their cars more than their wives. I had to admit my Hubby’s truck is my only competition. Hahahahaha.

Well, unlike from where I came from, car is a necessity here. You cannot work without a car. You cannot go to places without a ride. And you cannot live without any means of transportation here because public utility vehicle is not common. That is why you literally spend more time with your car than with your spouse because you drive separate cars.

And when we talk about cars, we also talk about problems too. Car can be a big problem too especially when you need an auto or body repair… or worse if you have been in an accident like me… you need collision repair service. And where can you find the best service in your area? Can you trust the service center in your area? Or are you a business that provides car services in the area?

Well, CollicionRepairExperts.com is the best website for car repair service whether you are in need of the service or doing the service. So check out CollisionRepairExperts.com, the largest network of collision repair experts, if you are in need of the "best in class" collision repair experts... or if you want to be a member or a part of the network of experts.

Three Things

Here are some thoughts to ponder... some important things that we already know but take for granted... and some essential ingredients to make our life more meaningful.

I got it from my email and thought of sharing it with you.

Three things in life that, once gone, never come back -

1. Time
2. Words
3. Opportunity

Three things in life that can destroy a person -

1. Anger
2. Pride
3. Unforgiveness

Three things in life that you should never lose-

1. Hope
2. Peace
3. Honesty

Three things in life that are most valuable -

1. Love
2. Family &Friends
3. Kindness

Three things in life that are never certain -

1. Fortune
2. Success
3. Dreams

Three things that make a person -

1. Commitment
2. Sincerity
3. Hard work

Now count one... two... three... and say a little prayer of thanks for the gift of life.

Instant Payday Loan

The current economic situation is hurting a lot of people and nobody is immune. There is no assurance too that the economy will improve right away once the new president assumes office. And there is no excuse not to spend money to buy basic necessities and pay our bills. It’s inevitable and sometimes we feel helpless especially if you do need the money for emergency reason and you don't have it.

The current economic situation should not make people feel helpless. There are lots of options that we can take to be able to survive and live a descent life. Getting a loan is a normal thing to do. Getting credit helps a lot of people get by with their day to day life. But getting a loan is not that easy especially if you have a bad credit history.

Shot On the Spot [revised] Tag

I got a "Shot on the Spot" tag a long time ago from Rechie and it’s only now that I got the chance to do this. Sorry Rechie for the delay. I was too busy late but thank you very much for including me in your tag, I do appreciate it.

This is kind of funny and enjoyable tag. I supposed to enclose here my on-the-spot picture taken as soon as I got this tag but since this was an almost forgotten tag, I am just posting my not-so-glamorous photo. Sorry about the picture, I don’t have the guts to face the camera. Blame it to the sweets. Hahahahaha.

INSTRUCTION FOR POSTING THIS TAG

1) Take a picture of yourself right NOW! [In my case, sinceI am always out of my mind and forgetful I just grabbed your non-glamorous photo instead.]
2) DON'T change your clothes. DON'T fix your hair... Just take a picture.
3) Post that picture with NO editing.
4) Post these instructions with your picture.
5) Tag 10 people to do this.

About the tag… I am not tagging anyone because I know a lot of my friends are already tagged and I’m the only one who didn’t post this right away. But if you still have not been tagged… feel free to grab this and I will surely appreciate it. Thank you.

My Sweet Fix

I have cravings lately. I crave for anything and everything sweet. And when I crave for sweets, nothing… practically nothing can stop me from getting myself a sweet fix. I crave for Laffy Taffy, jelly beans, chocolate bars, gummies, and even fruity bubble gum. Don’t laugh. Don’t think it’s gross either. And don’t you dare pity me. I have my sweet side and that is not an alibi. That is a fact.

Well, it’s not a crime to love sweets. And I do have them in moderation so you can calm down now. I may get tempted every now and then but trust me that kind of temptation is something I will never regret... ever! And I know you will agree with me that sweets bring out the best in people. Sweets make me happy. Sweets make me feel blissful. And sweets make me always in the mood for anything.

And my friend knows it. That is why last Christmas she gave me Bulk Candy for present. That was the sweetest present I received, literally. Boy, wasn’t she “sweet”? So if you have cravings like me, go ahead. Go and get your sweet fix. If you love sweets like most people do, don’t feel guilty. You have the right to sweet fix. And if you do need one right now, go get it because life after all is full of sweet cravings. You definitely deserve it.

Be Well-Guided

I am an online shopper convert. I had to admit that I was a little doubtful of this system before but when I tried it once out of frustration because I can’t drive down the store to get my beauty supplies, I reluctantly purchased those products online. And guess what? I was totally satisfied and glad that I did. I got the products on time and hassle-free. I got the products cheaper than its price in the store. And more importantly, I didn’t have to leave the house and go through all the trouble of driving down the store because shipment is free.

But online shopping could be a real hassle especially if you are not sure if the website is legit. This reason alone would surely scare a lot of people to do online shopping. Some products sold online could also be a scam and there is no way of knowing it until it is too late. That is one of the reasons why some people are hesitant to shop online. But we are living in cyber-age now and whether we like it or not we will be dealing with online stuff one way or another. And for that reason HottestProducts.Net offers Age of Conan Guides. This is your saving grace for everything under the [cyber] sun.

HottestProducts.Net provides a huge list of products and services [in different categories] online. But that is not all. It provides unbiased reviews about thousand of products and services so that you will make the right decision. You can view the websites and even its score so you can have a concrete basis for your judgment. And lastly, it gives you tangible ideas of the products or services that you are looking for. So be guided according... check out HottestProducts.Net and have a peace of mind.

Closet Mayhem

Another thing a hate about winter is the closet. My closets seem forever chaotic and perpetually cluttered during winter. My closets are always over-stuffed and our clothes won’t fit in it no matter how often I downsize. And my closets will hopelessly be a pandemonium until the last snow melts becase... winter it is.

Hayyy… winter… why art thou?

I spent the whole day today organizing my closets. It’s the winter stuffs’ turn now. All my spring-summer stuffs are in the totes tucked away in the cellar for the time being to give way to winter stuffs. And though I spent the whole day organizing… my closets are still huge messes. I folded and hanged and arranged stuffs the whole day but still I can’t seem to make my closets look nice and tidy. Those winter clothes are so bulky they take so much space on the closets. I can’t keep track of all the mittens and gloves because I keep losing the other pair. And the scarves and hats are all over the place.

Hayyy… I had to stop now. Maybe this weekend I can find time to re-organize again… or maybe buy a new closet.

Go Beads

Do you like beads? I do. I love beads. I love to make different craft projects made out of beads in different colors, shapes and sizes. It’s fun. I used to make bling-bling made out of beads for my personal use and gifts for my friends. It’s creative. And I like to decorate my clothes with bead embellishments too. It’s awesome.

But since I moved here in Maine, my bead crafts have been taken for granted because I don’t have the luxury of time to do any handicraft now. I spend more time online blogging and doing house chores on the side. But my fascination for beads never dies. I still love them. But I go for designer beads now. I go for good quality beads that I saw online.

The Beaded Lanyards that I saw online were my perfect gifts for my step-daughters last Christmas. They are perfect to hang their IDs or even their cellphones. I also love the unique Beaded Bracelets that I got for my friend on her birthday that is why I got myself one too. And of course, I fell in love with the Eyeglass Holders that are already considered as fashion accessories to match my clothes. And more importantly, I love the craftsmanship… the quality… and design of those bead works made by this equally unique bead company.

So if you are looking for unique stuff for gifts or personal use – go beads!

No School Today

Hayyy… another snow storm. I hate it! I hate winter! And I can’t believe I am saying this.

I used to love winter. I dreamt of White Christmases. I was fascinated by snow. It’s so beautiful to look at. It maybe cold but I still like it. And I wonder why most people I met here hate winter.

After living here for almost 2 years, I finally understand why. After I had been traumatized by the car accident, I finally realized how treacherous winter is. After dealing with power outage for 3 straight days [thanks God we have generator] due to ice storm which didn’t just cause outages all over the state but death too, I finally decided not to like winter.

Today, school is closed all over the entire state. So today, I stayed home. No work for me today. We have snow storm. We have mix snow, sleet and freezing rain. And worse case scenario… I might end up in the ditch again. And considering that it is only the start of the winter season… oh boy, we still have a long way to go. This will indeed be a long… cold… and bitter winter.

My [new] New Year’s Resolution

So what is your [new] New Year’s Resolutions? Well, the stressed on the word [new] is significant. It was intentional on my part. Why not? What is new about New Year’s Resolutions? Isn’t it just customary that when the year starts… you have to come up with big plans… big changes… big whatever!

Everyone wanted to start the year right and that is the whole purpose of the issue. Some people would have a “real-honestly-to-goodness” new year’s resolution. A few would go through the process of starting over again. And others would just recycle their old ones. But whatever its worth, the important thing is… you wanted to try… or try again… or try hard this time.

So what is your New Year’s Resolutions? Mine is… to try to come up with some this year. Give me a week to get my mind set straight and who knows… I might come up witha good ones that I can honestly stick to. Good Luck to us.

Cool Gears for Cool Cops

There is something cool about cops. I enjoy watching all those crime-busting shows on primetime TV every night. I am always fascinated with those cops all geared-up to the tee. And there is always something about how their guns make a big impact on their character.

It could be Galco. It could be the reason why those cops on TV look so heroic like Don Johnson who wore those Jackass shoulder rig over his white body-fit shirt in his “Miami Vice” TV series year ago. It has become a cops’ trademark. And since then, Galco became the most recognizable shoulder holder rig used by almost every action star in Hollywood.

But Galco holster is not only for movies and movie stars. Galco holsters are for the real cops in the real world. Galco is the best choice holster brand among the military men, federal law enforcers, and most local law enforcement agents because of its high quality material and unique designs.

So if you are looking for the best quality holster… visit LAPoliceGear.com and be amazed with their amazing stocks of Galco products. They have all kinds of gears that you need… from shoulder holster to belt holster… from waistpacks to range bag… from gun cases to purse… from accessories to harness. So what are you waiting for? Go to LAPoliceGear.com and order your Galco holster now and get a free hat.

Blogging Frenzy

It’s crappy the whole day today. We have a storm and it was raining non-stop since last night. The temperature though is warm at 42 degrees compared with the 12 degrees we had a couple of days back didn’t make a difference to me because I was inside the house the whole day. I didn’t go out anywhere today.

I stayed home and did what a good blogger should do… drop Entrecards to other droppers to return the favor, campaign and advertise my blogs in other blogs, post comments on other bloggers’ posts left and right, leaving messages on cboxes, shouts and other message boxes that I can find at the blogs’ sidebars and participate in social network communities’ online activities like tweetering, plurking and making new virtual friends. To sum it up, it was yet another crappy day of blogging frenzy.

Not Homesick Anymore

Being away from home is indeed hard especially if you are not coming back for a long time. Being away from home is tough especially if your loved ones are living half around the world. And being away from home is a challenge for someone who has been away from home for the very first time.

Being away from home for almost two years now, I know how hard it is. I know how tough it is not to see your loved ones everyday. During the first 6 months of my stay here in the USA, I cried almost everyday because I missed my family. I missed my friends. And I missed home so much. Being new in this new place, it is tough because I have no friends to talk too.

Good thing I could get reasonably priced Prepaid Phone Card from UnionTelecard.com at really great deal. I could talk to my loved ones for hours and can hear their voices as if they are just beside me. UnionTelecard.com offers huge stock of Phone Cards and Calling Cards to choose from. And most importantly I can get the lowest calling rates. I get Philippines calling cards for only $10 and I can use it for 93 minutes of non-stop talking and bonding with my loved ones. It is much cheaper than using my landline which will cost me a fortune. With Union Telecard I don’t feel homesick anymore.
